# Email setup

Use cPanel/Namecheap SMTP credentials stored only in `.env`. Set `MAIL_MAILER=smtp`, host, port, username, password, encryption, and a verified `MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS`. Test a password-reset email and invitation before launch. Critical invitation/reset messages may use the sync driver while routine notifications use database queue processed by cron.
